What happened to “Lightroom Controls” and “Professionals’ Suite”?

Did something change?

Yes, I added new plugins to both bundles, and all plugins became available as standalone plugins, too. Despite that, everything is the same – except, it isn’t. But don’t worry, you didn’t lose anything and I didn’t drop support for anything.

I just fundamentally overhauled all plugins.

Why?

As my plugins matured, it was time for a new name. Three things mainly triggered this:

  1. After 10 Years, I cancelled my Adobe Subscription and switched to Capture One and Affinity.

  2. In August 2023, I began working on the biggest update for my plugins. These are the updates I released in March 2024. I’ve grown as a person, my mission has become clearer, and my plugins have become better. Therefore, it was time for a change. I want to support these plugins as long as I possibly can and currently, I don’t see a reason why I would stop. So I overhauled everything from the ground up.

  3. “Lightroom Controls” was the initial name of the plugins since I was pretty much a nobody. Nobody knew me, and I needed something to get the message across. I set out to bridge the gap between photography and videography, but today, my plugins are much more than that.

Do I need to do something?

Yes! I strongly encourage you to download the new plugins! If you want to know how to update your plugins, have a look here:

You can uninstall “Lightroom Controls” and “Professionals’ Suite” if you successfully update your plugins. To do that, go to:

/Users/USERNAME/Movies/Motion Templates

Inside “Titles” and “Effects”, you can delete the old plugins. Do not delete the folder called “▫️Eric Lenz - Visual Storytelling▫️” – this is the home of the new plugins.

Thank you for your support. It’s been quite a journey.

Best,

Eric
