Description:
The EOS Alpha LUTs are designed with the essence of Canon’s colour science in mind. However, you will not achieve a one-to-one match with Canon cameras. This is not possible and not my intention with the LUT.
I studied Canon’s Colour science and developed a set of parameters that make a shot feel like it was shot on Canon. My goal was to achieve well-balanced LUTs that deliver accurate Canon-like colour science while still tweaking the parameters so they work flawlessly on each Sony camera.
One part of Canon’s colour science is a pretty aggressive contrast curve, which gives your footage a punchy look. However, sometimes, taking control over contrast yourself is crucial to get the look just right.
That’s why I made two versions of each LUT. I called them “Dynamic” and “Harmonic”.
